1. Identify Aluminum Scrap

• Common sources:
  • Cans – Beverage and food cans (widely accepted).
  • Sheets & Foils – Roofing, packaging, household foil.
  • Extrusions – Window frames, doors, ladders.
  • Cast Aluminum – Engine blocks, cookware, car parts.
  • Wires & Cables – Electrical wiring (ensure it’s aluminum, not copper).

2. Prepare for Scrapping

• Clean the aluminum – Remove dirt, plastic, and other contaminants.
• Separate different grades – Cast, extruded, and sheet aluminum have different values.
• Crush cans – Saves space and increases scrap value.

3. Sell to Scrap Yards

• Check local prices, as rates fluctuate based on market demand.
• Bulk quantities get better rates – Collecting more aluminum increases profit.

4. Reuse & Repurpose

• Use aluminum scraps for DIY projects, art, or household repairs.
• Aluminum sheets and foils can be reused for insulation or packaging.
